Returning to Mammoth after dinner at Roosevelt Lodge, I stopped at this pond because of the reflection of the trees. While I was painting it, a coyote sauntered by, took a drink from the pond and never gave me a glance in spite of my talking and whistling to him. Maybe he didn't want to hang around because of the mosquitoes.
