This is from the North Rim of the canyon. There is a ton of snow in Yellowstone this year and while it's melting quickly it prevents the opening of most trails and scenic overlooks. This was painted from atop a snow drift sloping toward the precipice a few feet away. As the sun warmed the snow, it got slipperier and slipperier.
